Long Weekends and Downton Abbey

Things that make me happy, even on a Monday:

1. Four-day weekends. That was pretty nice, I have to say.

2. Turkey sandwiches with cranberry and dressing. Thankgsiving leftovers are sometimes even better than the actual meal.

3. Case Keenum. He’s the University of Houston quarterback, and he’s the major reason we’re ranked #7 in the nation right now. I come from a family of big U of H fans, and we’re all so excited.

4. Those times when I can’t bear to shut my laptop because the words are just flowing. Such an amazing feeling (one I need more of).

5. Downton Abbey. I got hooked on this amazing historical drama from the UK about a house and all of its occupants, family and servants, in the early 1900s. And now I can’t wait for more episodes!

Happy Monday, everyone! Anything making you happy this week?

  1. I'm a major fan of Downton Abbey! I love that show and have been suffering from withdrawal since the 2nd season ended a few weeks back. Ah well, I guess I'll have to settle for watching a ton of Christmas movies :)

  2. Glittery blue nail polish! How random and odd? Oh, and The Walking Dead's mid-season finale. Holy cow, I didn't expect what happened!!!

  5. Yay for the writing going well! Also enjoying amazing holidays like Thanksgiving. I need to American myself up so I can celebrate next year.

Happy-making: having an actual storyboard (even though Act III is now almost empty, argh); having a list of writing books on my Christmas list; all the Christmas movies I have yet to watch; US bloggers back in the blogosphere.

  8. I love leftover turkey sandwiches too...cold dark meat on 100% whole wheat...yum.

Will have to look into Downtown Abby. I love historical stuff, esp British historical stuff.

And laptop wordflow. Yes, I'd love more of that too!

The sun shining makes me happy today, as does a dollop of half n' half in my coffee. :)

  13. Happy Monday! I'm glad you had a good four-day weekend. And who doesn't love being in the groove of writing? I say write till you drop (or your laptop battery dies).
