Build a Man by Talli Rolland

Continuing my Wednesday posts on books by bloggers I know and adore, I read Build a Man a few weeks ago. And LOVED it.

Serenity works in London at her boyfriend’s plastic surgery office, a place filled with insecure and insufferable women. She dreams of writing for the tabloids, so when a man comes in and wants a ton of surgeries to overhaul his entire look, she thinks she’s found her story. She begins to write an anonymous column for a tabloid about Jeremy—a column that will change her life in ways she never expected.

This was such a fun, hilarious read! Serenity has a snarky inner voice that makes you laugh out loud, and she’s one of those characters you start rooting for immediately. Her experience makes you wonder how far people are willing to go to find love and to attain the unattainable “perfect” body. I just loved the concept of this book. Oh, and the setting. Because you know I love London. :) I highly recommend it!
