Dream Vacations and Banana Pudding

Things that make me happy, even on a Monday:

1. Making a list of dream vacations. The Scottish Highlands, Colombia, and Spain have been on there for a while now. Someday…

2. Golden Globes. I mainly watch it for the dresses, of course. I think Emma Stone and Tina Fey were my faves of the night.

3. New dessert attempts! I made a banana pudding this week that came out pretty darn well, if I do say so myself. I’m working my way up to cheesecake.

4. NFL playoffs. Even though the Texans lost (boo!), they still are such fun games to watch. I’m rooting for the Patriots to win it all.

5. Risk. I can’t win it to save my life, but a game of global domination is always a good idea.

Happy Monday, everyone! And Happy MLK Day! Anything making you happy this week?

  1. I'd love to make a list of dream vacations.

I missed the Golden Globes. I fell fast asleep real early.

Banana pudding sounds divine. I love bananas and I love pudding.

    Have a great week.

  2. I don't have a TV, so the Golden Globes weren't an option, though I definitely saw a ton of remarks about it on twitter and YES! to planning dream vacations! The thing is-- you have to take them! I spend so much time trolling through flights and hostel websites that I feel like a travel agent, able to give you a quote to almost anywhere.

I've never been to Colombia, but I'm hoping to visit Cartagenia, soon!

  4. Mmmmm banana pudding just made my mouth water. Mmmmm...I saw a few of the uglier dresses from last night, but still haven't gotten a full run down on them. I did love how Angelina looked. She looked like a doll. Ahh...Happy Monday!

  5. Thinking of dream vacation destinations is always fun. I think mostly European destinations take up most of my list (I'm dying to go abroad and look at all the lovely artwork and architecture in person...perhaps one day!)

  6. Tina and Emma Stone looked great. I loved Charlize in that blush Dior! ...and HATED Sarah-Michelle in that splatter-paint comforter poof!

I'm still on the fence about Zooey...what did you think about her beaded green Prada?

  7. My husband loves Risk. And football. I'm more the dessert and Golden Globe type. We both do love to travel though.

  9. I love dreaming of vacays. *le sigh*

I didn't watch but I usually love watching the preshow because I adore the dresses too. I did an internet search of the dresses and so far my fav is Dianna Agron.

  10. Making me happy is having tomorrow off: hopefully I can use the time to get over this cold! Either way, I don't have to worry about waking up at a certain time, so that'll be good. And my bed! My bed makes me happy.

  11. I want to take my husband back to Ireland. One of my favorite places. I would love to go to the Scottish Highlands too because my new WIP takes place in the mountains of 1890's scotland. And yes the dresses were all sparkly at the golden globes last night! I think most of them did pretty well! I thought Reese Witherspoon looked gorgey as always.

Okay, I'm not sorry that my team beat your team in the NFL playoffs.

I'm just sorry that you feel bad that your team lost. :o)
